Appointment of Dr. Judy Z. Stephenson to LRI Board of Directors

The founding directors of the Long Run Institute are honoured to welcome Dr. Judy Z. Stephenson to the Board of Directors. Dr. Stephenson is an economic historian of organizations, labour and markets. She is an Associate Professor at The Bartlett, University College London, and a research associate at both the Oxford Centre for Economic and Social History and The Cambridge Group for the History of Population and Social Structure.

Dr. Stephenson has been a governor of the LRI since its inception in 2018. Her unwavering commitment to the goals of the LRI plus the depth and breadth of her insights encouraged the founders to approach Dr. Stephenson with an invitation to become a director. They are delighted to announce that she has accepted and will start immediately. Dr. Stephenson commented, “I look forward to working with directors, governors and partners at the LRI to put historical knowledge at the centre of contemporary debate and decision-making.”

Dr. Laurence B. Mussio, Chair of the Long Run Institute, noted with pleasure: “On behalf of my co-founder directors Professor John Turner and Dr. Michael Aldous, I would like to express how elated we are at Dr. Stephenson joining our management team. Judy combines an extensive and illustrious managerial experience in the private sector with an emerging track record one of her discipline’s great emerging scholars and communicators. Her deep commitment to the future success of the Institute as one of the inaugural governors is now being harnessed at the strategic and operational level of the LRI. We look forward to working with her as the Institute approaches an important inflection point in 2022 and beyond.”
